ELECTRICITY SERVICE IN GHANA AND AFRICA

Not even in my wilder’s dream would I have believe something like this is happening right under our noses.
Let me begin like this, I grew up knowing that basic supply’s such as water and electricity can go off and come back at anytime without any information given to the people it may affect, which was wrong. At a point I begin to learn how the absence of these basic utilities can cost the lost of lives and even the economy of an entire nation by reducing its productivity.
I have recently travelled through some areas outside the capital and during this journey; I discovered one very common thing (how often the light and water goes off and on) which I earlier thought it was a problem only in the capital because the high population there but realized it was rather worse outside the capital.
I once heard a little cousin visiting us from Canada shout “disaster!, disaster!, disaster!”, just because the light went off and that was very unusual to her.
We all pay task and bills to our government t o supply us with these basic utilities, so why don’t we get informed if there is a problem with the line of supply before they take it off or give a post information as early as possible, why don’t they show us a little respect on what we pay them to do for us.
This is how cruel they are, take a careful look at the pick again and you would see what am talking about. My fellow Africans let us wake up and demand our right from our leader.
The first question I asked myself when I saw this picture is “why do we even have to pay this people?” When you walk into an office or a pay point to pay your electricity bill and realize the office is using a generator because they put the light off, I believe you would be asking the same question I asked.
Our dear leaders, we deserve to be treated well, we don’t think you are super humans but be nice to us and treat us right, be transparent and give your dear people a first hand information about what you are adding or taking away from our lives.
