Vice President John Dramani Mahama

Vice President John Dramani Mahama, has emphasised that government will continue to explore other means of eradicating poverty across board. 

Mr. Mahama said first step towards this is for government to stay focused on its development agenda and not to embark on unplanned expenditures during this election year. 

In line with this all Ministries, Departments and Agencies have been directed not to start new projects that are not included in the budget. 

The Vice President made these points at the close of a three day consultative partnership meeting in Accra. 

Government and its development partners have in three days deliberated on ways of leveraging partnership for sustainable economic growth and development.
