But there is one rule of thumb which is mostly broken by most small business that is to look for the big business. Because most small businesses are looking for the big business that pays most of their bills they turn to forget that the small business contracts that they had before the big business contract is the back bone of their enterprise. Most small business owners overlook the small contractor that used their services when they were no business. At the start of every small business there is that mom and pop contractor who signs on the use the services of the starter. If not a business it is a customer. That one person who likes your business so much that they keep coming to buy your product and services.

Most often small business land their first contract from a single customer or one person then later cooperation’s show up to for services. Sometimes the single customer is the one that referrers the big businesses to most start-up companies. But guess what? Most small business owners make the mistake of sidelining their older smaller customers for the big ones because they have just become too busy to cater to them; devoting all their time to the big contract that brings the most money in. But what most people refuse to realize is that this big business come in for a contract and when the contract expires they choose to stay and renew the contract or leave. What if they leave? Then you are stack with no job to do. So it is imperative to devote time to bother small and large contracts and joggle them at the busy time because what happens most of the time it big businesses leave whiles the small businesses stay.
The future of a small business is the ability of the business to retain it small business contracts or renew it old contract that almost seem insignificant. So avoid the temptation of sidelining the small and less significant businesses because soon they would matter to the survival of your business.
