Google to open YouTube studio in London
'Creator Space' will offer existing YouTube stars the chance to produce more sophisticated content, Google has claimed.
The new studio will help some of the most popular YouTube posters make their videos look more professional. The website now offers films and TV to rent and buy around the world.
Sara Mormino, Director of YouTube Content Operations and Next Lab, wrote on the site’s blog, “It is amazing to think that some of the most successful creators on the platform, with millions of views, use little more than their bedrooms, a webcam and any props they can lay their hands on to produce compelling videos and build a global fanbase.
"But many of our partners are ready to take their channels to the next level by using the latest equipment and editing techniques as well as tapping into the valuable advice from other experts and YouTube stars.”
Based in Google's Soho offices in London, the creator space will include two studios, a green screen for backdrops, fully staffed editing suites and cameras based on both DSLR and cincema technology.
