Serena Williams Visits Jimmy Fallon Following U.S. Open Championship
As Serena sat in the same chair that she occupied shortly before her trip to Wimbledon, the 2012 U.S. Open champion gave Jimmy Fallon credit on Monday night for the good luck that has followed her from England's grassy courts to the top of the tennis world.
Since her last visit to the show, Williamsadded two gold medals -- one for doubles with her sister Venus -- and two additional grand slam championships to her already-decorated resume in just three short months. So what did Williams do to celebrate her accomplishments?
She partied like it's 1999.
After admitting that she celebrated "really hard" following her Wimbledon championship, Williams told Fallon that she reveled in her U.S. Open victory with a little karaoke.
"I'm really in this 90's moment right now," she said. "I love anything by Air Supply."
After deeming her the "greatest tennis player in America," Fallon busted into a duet with Williams before closing out the interview with a little Gloria Gaynor.
With pipes like these, we can only wonder if Victoria Azarenka is capable of holding a tune herself.
